The Alabama Small Business Development Center network is a statewide, inter-institutional program to enhance economic growth in Alabama by providing management and technical assistance to small businesses.  Professional Business Advisors are available in 10 Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) located at our member university partners across the state.

Alabama’s Ready to Work program provides a career pathway for adults with limited education and employment experience at 66 sites by 22 institutions. Ready to Work’s workplace environment provides trainees the entry level skills required for employment with most businesses and industries in Alabama. The training curriculum is set to standards cited by business and industry employers throughout the state, and the skills cited in the U. S. Department of Labor’s Secretary’s Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills (SCANS) Reports.

SAWDC is a non-profit organization established in 2008 to do the work of Region 7, a 9-county region in Southwest Alabama.   SAWDC is made up of a 30-member Council governed by a 15-member Board of Directors.  Over 75% of SAWDC's membership represents business and industry within the region.

A regional organization providing training resources in a variety of industry sectors.
